I am a mindfulness-based, existential psychotherapist located in Brooklyn, New York. I believe that at their very core, human beings desire to live meaningful, connected lives.
Despite living in a world with unprecedented wealth and creature comforts, so many of us are suffering. Many of us try and find comfort from that suffering, whether it's crippling anxiety or low-level depression, in distractions like alcohol, television, or Xanax. But still, that innate dissatisfaction with our everyday lives persists. Using a multifaceted, existential, spiritual approach, I will help you engage your suffering in a fresh way so you can live a more present, contented existence.
My ideal client is someone who is interested in an alternative to Western psychology and has some interest or experience in Eastern thought or spirituality. Anyone who has found usefulness in psychedelics in the past could also be a good fit. This is not to say that I do not use traditional psychotherapy modalities. My primary modalities are ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), MCBT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). If you are interested, I can help you learn and maintain a meditation practice.
Insurance: I currently accept Cigna. Otherwise, my sessions range from $110 to $200 a session. I do assist my patients with out-of-network benefits through their insurance company.
